If plug-in car interior LED lights flicker, the cause can be as simple as a loose connection or unsuitable power source. Start with low-risk checks before considering anything more technical.
Check the plug and connector
Make sure the product's connector is fully seated in the intended compatible power source. A partially connected USB plug or accessory connector can lead to intermittent power.
Check the product variant
Confirm that you are using the correct power option for the exact variant you bought. For example, our music-sync RGB lights include different USB and 12V variants.
Try the normal controls
If the product has a controller or compatible app, check whether the behaviour occurs across different normal modes. Some animated modes are intentionally dynamic, so distinguish a programmed effect from unintended flicker.
Inspect for obvious cable strain
Without dismantling vehicle systems, check that the visible cable is not being pinched by a seat mechanism or sharply bent at a connector.
Stop if the issue looks electrical
If there is heat, damage, a burning smell, exposed wiring or any sign of an electrical fault, disconnect the accessory if it is safe to do so and seek qualified help. Do not continue using a damaged product or improvise repairs.
