Product Safety & Installation
Chrome Cruiser sells vehicle accessories intended to be used only in a safe, suitable and lawful manner. This guidance supplements any instructions and warnings supplied with a product and does not replace them.
Before installation
- Check the product description, dimensions, voltage, connector type and stated compatibility before installation.
- Inspect the product and cable for damage before use. Do not use damaged, overheating or visibly defective electrical accessories.
- Use only the stated power source and do not modify wiring or electrical components unless you are competent to do so.
Safe placement
- Do not place accessories where they obstruct the driver's field of view or interfere with steering, pedals, gear controls, mirrors, seat belts or other vehicle controls.
- Do not mount products over or close to airbag deployment zones.
- Secure cables and accessories so they cannot become entangled with the driver or vehicle controls.
Lighting products
Vehicle-lighting rules can depend on the colour, brightness, location, installation and manner of use. Interior decorative lighting should not distract the driver or impair visibility. Exterior or visible lighting must not be used in a way that breaches applicable vehicle-lighting or road-traffic rules. A product being offered for sale does not by itself mean every installation or use is legal on a public road.
Stop using a product if
Stop using an accessory and disconnect it where safe to do so if it becomes unusually hot, emits smoke or an unusual smell, has exposed wiring, repeatedly blows a fuse, behaves unexpectedly or appears damaged.
